Thank you so much Amanda. I started writing this blog for my daughter, but quickly learned that it is benefiting girls and women like yourself who may not have been given this type of advice. It makes me so happy to hear that this helped you. A friend of mine received a DUI 5 years ago. He is the father to five kids. Needless to say, his world crashed around him after this happen. Fast forward to today and he is doing better than ever. Your mistake doesn't define you..it's what you do AFTER the mistake that reveals your character.

Thank you so much for this...Being a daughter and not having the guidance from my parents hugely effects the way i process decisions and events in my life. I can be so hard on myself. I'm always grateful to take a golden nugget of advice from parents who are actively engaged in their child's life no matter what age they are. Parents are indispensable...and its not about being right all the time but mostly about being present. It really matters.
